Frequently asked questions
Useful answers before the first working session.
A practical guide to how Aureline approaches product development, systems integration and ongoing support.
Project delivery
How do we begin a project?
We start with a short conversation about the outcome, constraints and people involved. If there is a fit, we agree a focused discovery scope, access needs and decision makers before any delivery commitment.
How long does discovery take?
A focused discovery often takes two to four weeks, depending on the number of systems, stakeholders and open questions. We agree the scope and evidence needed together rather than applying a fixed package.
Can you integrate with legacy platforms?
Yes. We assess the available interfaces, batch processes, data quality and operational ownership, then design an integration approach that respects the realities of the existing platform.
How do you approach data migration?
We define source-to-target mappings, data quality rules, reconciliation steps and accountable sign-offs. Migration is rehearsed against representative data and planned with a rollback or containment strategy.
Do you work with payment systems?
We design and build payment journeys, ledger interfaces, settlement visibility and exception workflows. Scope is shaped around your providers, rails, operating model and control requirements.
What does security look like in delivery?
Security is addressed through threat conversations, least-privilege access, secrets handling, secure engineering practices, reviewable changes and agreed testing. We do not claim certification or guarantee an outcome.
Can you work in regulated environments?
We have experience designing for regulated product contexts and can work with your control owners, risk teams and evidence requirements. Your organisation retains responsibility for regulatory interpretation and approval.
How will our teams collaborate with yours?
We work in mixed client and Aureline teams, with clear decision owners, regular working sessions, written outcomes and shared delivery visibility. Tools and cadence are agreed at the start.
What support is available after launch?
We can agree a transition period, operational guidance, integration support and continuous improvement capacity. Hours, responsibilities and escalation routes are set out for each engagement.
Who owns the software and work product?
Ownership and licensing are documented in the engagement agreement. Bespoke deliverables are handled according to the agreed terms, while pre-existing tools and third-party components retain their respective rights.
How long does a typical delivery take?
A small workflow improvement may take several weeks; a multi-system product can take several months or proceed in staged releases. We make dependencies and uncertainty visible as scope develops.
How do you deliver across countries and time zones?
We work with distributed teams through planned overlap hours, written decisions and clear asynchronous handoffs. Travel or local presence is discussed when a programme benefits from it.
Still deciding?
Let’s answer the question specific to your system.
Every product context is different. A short conversation can help us clarify fit, evidence and a sensible next step.
